So...before you look at the picture below. Consider that we are not moving until August 2nd. It is June 21st, which means we aren't moving for SEVEN WEEKS.
That's right, she began backing (well, I should say WE). We have bare walls and empty bookshelves...kinda' depressing.
But it is going to feel so wonderful to not have a mad rush at the end! And the more time you take, the more organized the move will be, and the easier it will be at the other end. Plus, I think doing what you can do when you can do it eases the anxiety that inevitably comes with such a big change!!!
ReplyDeleteGretch and I are moving into our new place on August 21, but we are (hopefully) moving out of here by the end of the month. So we've started packing.
ReplyDeleteAnd now that my books are all packed, I feel rather lost.
*sigh*
Exactly Alex! The minute that we pack something, I remember why we needed it...
ReplyDeleteWhitney gets a big thumbs up from me. We started packing either seven or eight weeks out; and we were moving across the state, not half way across the country!
ReplyDeleteI think it's a big mistake to pack prematurely. I mean, it takes all the fun of the moving experience. What is a good move except a great opportunity to be extremely stressed and sleep-deprived. If I were you, I'd put those picture right back up on the wall!!!
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahah, Whit, I love you!
