Smiles!

Emerson and I had perfect timing cause once I started taking pictures of him again, he started smiling! It is just so fun to see more of his personality every day. We also had our first overnight visitors last week. Bryson's brother Kirk and his wife Kaija came and stayed for the weekend before heading up north for vacation. It was the first time they had met Emerson and we had a blast! They are moving across the country next week and we're glad that they will be a little closer to us. Hopefully we'll be able to see them again soon!

I'm still working on getting pictures of the house, but until then here's some pictures of our little one. Some are from right before we moved and the rest are from the past week or so.

Emerson snuggling with Mom. This doesn't happen too much anymore because he loves to be up and looking around. He's a very curious child. :)

Getting dried off after a bath.

Two things that Emerson is trying to achieve here...one: how to hold on to the rattle. Two and more importantly: how to get it to his mouth.

Having play time with Mommy.

I know it's a little blurry, but look at that smile!
Although Emerson doesn't like tummy time, he is learning how to keep his head up. He'll be doing push-ups in no time. :)

Update

It's been a crazy past couple of weeks with unpacking the house and getting settled, but things are starting to calm down. We absolutely love our house and once we've finished up the last of the decorating I'll post some before and after pictures. Emerson is getting so big! We had his two month appointment last week and he weighed 13lbs, 9oz and was 22 1/2 in! I know..our boy loves to eat :) His personality is really coming out and he loves to sit up and see what's going on. He's also starting to smile at us too! It is so cute! I've been remiss in taking pictures of him these last couple of weeks while we've been working on the house and moving in but don't worry pictures are coming! Hopefully I'll get some up in the next couple of days!
